Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Started out as a sex,drugs and rock and roll alternative rock band but took a 180 degree turn. Fire Lane is a Christian rock band highly influenced by the 90s grunge era. The bands music is geared towards positive change, introspective and Christian themes.
Original members started the band back in high school (2004), La Salle Greenhills. Went to college, parted ways and acquired new members.
The recent members are all actively part of their respective churchs music ministry.

Your musical influences
Grunge of 90's up to the contemporary. No one song so far sounds like the other. Fire Lane is also very much influenced by contemporary Christian rock bands.
What equipment do you use?
For live gigs, I use my Jackson Strat Custom as my main guitar. My rig starts with a Boss compressor and a Boss DS-2 (which I mainly use for boost). Then to the PH-2, CH-1 and on to the VOX AD15VT. I have two channels, preset already for the amp, one is the crunchy clean (dirty-clean?), and the other is the grunge. I get the delay/chorus and all the other mod effects from the amp as well. -- JP Vocals
