No band, just a DJ aswell a producer
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
In 1978 I was born and raised in The Hague in The Netherlands. Right now it's more than twelve years ago since I bought my first records. There were no options that time to get real good house music on casette tapes or cd's, let alone downloading it. With two records but no way of playing them I bought my first turntable, followd by another one later on and a mixer. I had no clue how it all worked. I only knew that those things were necessary for mixing records. Loving house music for quite a while, that was the thing I wanted to do.
With endless practise, an extra job just to buy records and a little bit of luck I was given the oppertunity to perform at my very, very first gig: a school party with a crowd of 800 ! Bloody hell ! It all went great, dispite the fact that the nerves made my hands tremble so bad that I could hardly hold a record.
Nowadays my shaking nervous hands are history due to the experience I've gathered playing at clubs like Winkel van Sinkel in Utrecht and various parties as my alter ego Ferric. In the legendary club La^DS in The Hague I got the chance to get my first clubbing experience as a dj in 1997. I played in the Dizzy Duck coffee shop every friday night, and later on I had my own saturday night residence in the techno basement in the Inner Warrior underground club. I also played at a lot of afterparties there, some truly memorable sunday mornings. What an energy that crowd still had early in the morning... really unbelievable. Also I played several times at the broadcasting radio stations "Exclusief" and "Exact".
Sadly enough the number of performances reduced quickly around 2001, mainly due to the collapse of the local club scene and lack of parties being organized. But after a quiet time, nowadays the number of bookings are growing again. This year I played at several parties like Musika Technika, the Techno Festival at the Mecca Beach Club, "4 DJ's in a club" at the Buddha Bar and now and than you can hear me on friday evening at the Deep.fm radiostation.
The magical world of mixers, sequencers, samplers and synthesizers intrigue me since I discoverd that those are the products house music is made with. As a little boy I played the drums and a couple of years ago I went to the Haagse Muziekschool, following a "sound engineering and sound design" course for about a year. Before that I allready started to produce music. My private little studio allowes me to experience with sounds and rhythm so I can show the public with my made music what true techno is about.

I'm DJ'ing at several places, in Holland (The Netherlands that is)
Your musical influences
To me there is just one passion: House Music. Especially techno. If a passion becomes more and more a form of an obsession, and there is no way to suppress the need to let the world know what the thing is that makes you go crazy (in the good way) over and over again, there is just one option: don't tell 'em, let them feel it !
The emotion of outstanding moving tracks, the rythmic sounds of tribal and drum records, the pure and solid energy of pounding tunes... I love it all, I play it all. The emotional and energetic feelings that techno music is able to awaken in body and mind are the effects I try to translate in my dj-sets and produced tracks.
