FencePost
Fencepost is made up of several local musicians from the Salisbury, North Carolina area. Formed in 2004 as a result of combining popular local bands "Bridges and Fences" and "the Delivery", AJ, Jesse, Kyle, and Haze have been gigging around the area throughout the year and have logged 60+ shows around the area in the past six months. Fencepost is somewhat of a great communicator, having members from three area high schools; AJ is a North Rowan student, Haze is a West Rowan student, and Jesse and Kyle both go to Salisbury High. Their music is as individual as it comes - the members of the band claim all sorts of influences ranging from Rush, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Yellowcard, Matchbox Twenty, Tesla, the Beatles, The Presidents of the United States of America, Alison Krauss and Union Station, and the Chick Corea Elektric Band. Amalgamated doesn't even half describe the music that is presented at any Fencepost performance. Come hear for yourself at any show what all the masses are talking about.Band/artist history
FencePost is comprised of two dead bands, The Delivery and Bridges & Fences. The lead singer, AJ Green, and drummer, Hayes Smith, were both members of the punk rock band The Delivery. Lead guitarist, Jesse Reeves, and bassist, Kyle Butler, were both members of Bridges and Fences. Bridges and Fences started to fall apart astoundingly around the same time that AJ sliced his fingers, keeping him from playing guitar and ultimately ending the Delivery, so the two bands did the only pheasble thing...became one. Since then there has been no stopping them and they have gone from show to show adding to their fan base and their increasing their song repitoure. Their first full length cd, Standing Room Only, is being released on Feb. 15th and is available at shows and through contact.Have you performed in front of an audience?We play live constantly, and over summer we played regularly every monday night at Las Palmas, a local restaurant in our home town. We now play at local coffee houses and parties. We love playing live and a special moment was our Acoustic show during a local "Night On the Town" in front of our Meroney Theater.

Our Influences range from Matchbox Twenty, Rush, and The Who all the way to Allison Krauss, George Jones and Johnny Cash.What equipment do you use?
We use loud electric guitars, hard hitting bass lines, rap-tap-tapping on the skins, and smooth lyrics and vocals.Anything else?
