Band/artist history
The band "Fear my thoughts" was originally found in 98. Founding members were Patrick (guitar and former member of PARRACIDE, who released a split-cd with the well known metal-act EVEREVE)), Lex (drums), Bart (bass) and Matt (voice). Later on Markus (guitar) and Lisa (violin) joined the band.
With only one real line up change, the band tried early to combine all the musical influences and the individual experiences the members gathered.The first demo was basically old school hardcore. The first mini cd "sapere aude" grew a bit more experimentally. Their first real full length " 23" marked the direction the new musical way was heading to. This quiet successful output followed later on the cd "vitriol" which featured again more melodies and showed that the musicians have learned more skills. The last release differed again from the other ones. As a result of the level of
communication among the individuals, they managed to create a pulp that sounds somehow familiar but strange and interesting at the same point. Fear My Thoughts will always be an expression for the experiment of combining musical influences and the joy of making music.
Until now the band played around 150 shows all over europe. The third european
tour is in the works, and Fear My Thoughts shared the stage with bands like Dillinger Escape Plan, Caliban, Catharsis, Shai Hulud,the Icarus Line, Shora, Cataract and numerous more, including performances at some of the biggest european hardcore festivals . the "-23-" and the "Vitriol" releases recieved fantastic reviews in magazines all over the world, ranging from small DIY-fanzines to big metal-magazines like HAMMER (6 of 7 points) or the LEGACY-magazine (14 of 15 points). The band is very proud to have the guest-appearance of ex-DESTRUCTION-vocalist on the vitriol-record,who actually sang a whole song on that recording.Have you performed in front of an audience?germany
