Fat Lauren

Ok were Fat Lauren, well we used to be. Read the history to find out why we split up or watever. But these are some songs that I have recorded and played on my own just cos i was bored the otherday, but i hope to get some of the old songs up.

We started off playing in rico's bedroom last summer holidays. (2003) He had a drum kit in a spare room and he also had a guitar and amp in his house so we moved them together and started practising. After a while we realised we wud need to get a singer so we got our good friend owen to sing for us. We also got james, like the best guitarist in the school who was also our friend. So in the end we had a 5 piece "punk" band and we started by writing a song, which was not bad but quite unoriginal and boring. We had lots of practices afterschool and round ricos and eventually we organised a little "gig" in this hall that we rented out which a few people came to. After christmas everything just seemed to stop and no one could b bothered with it anymore. We had more important things to do like GCSEs and stuff and girlfriends. However we never sed we split up and rico probly still thinks we are a band... oh well..

NO IT SUCKED - but it was fun

err each member has different influences, mine would have to the red hot chili peppers, i love thier music, also some punk and ska bands. jacks is a variety of punk and ska bands, james is into all the old stuff, iron maiden, led zeppelin and jimi hendrix, owen is into like all three of them and rico was into take of your pants and jacket so he doesnt count :p

I used a custom painted Squire Strat, a Laney Hardcore Max amp and a V-Amp 2 Multi-effects box. Jack used a Stagg bass (???) and a small Peavey amp although he has a nice Squire P-bass now and a huge Fender amp. James used a Gibson Les Paul in translucent red i think, and a Line6 Spider amp Owen had nooooooooooo equipment, i lent him my mic on stage, And rico had a percussion pro drumkit (?) with Solar cymbals and Remo drum heads.
