Fake Canoe

Fake Canoe is a bag of broken silences. Words better left unsaid; notes better left unplayed. Starting with singer/songwriter Alex Boatman, Boatman then fused with drummer Zac Zelewicz as a frayed tentacle duo, later morphing into a loose cannon trio, adding bassist Stephen Yonkin to the set. Based in the mountains of northern Pennsylvania, this mainly Appalachian folk band was introduced to distortion pedals in the new century and has moved forwards to herald their refreshingly unique spin on narrative songwriting .With songs like "Photograph" and "Remote Control", is the art of the ballad brought to a crecsendo in all its raw and naked frevor, thanks to the lyrical talents of Boatman and his musically gifted commrades.
