Wow, it's been a while. Last updated when I had been playing for 3-ish years. Been playing for almost 9 now, and it's starting to move in an entirely different direction musically.
I've been influenced greatly by bands like Meshuggah, Periphery, Between the Buried and Me, System of a Down, more classic metal like Metallica, Pantera, Exodus, and to a lesser extent Animals as Leaders and Scale the Summit.
The direction I want this band to aim for is a mix of math metal and progressive metal, or what's become known these days as Djent. Not sure if the name will stay the same, but that will come in time.
So far we've got me, Kevin, on guitar/vocals, and Austin, a good friend of mine, on Bass/vocals. Still looking for a good drummer, preferably with a background in jazz and metal drumming. Another guitarist wouldn't be bad, either, as I'm not much of a lead player.

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I, Kevin, have been playing Guitar for the past 9 years and have(I like to think) improved greatly over the past five-and-a-half. Austin has been playing Bass for about 5 years, but he's(as he would tell you) way out of practice due to his tour in Iraq(took 3 years). He's back now, though, and is about to start taking lessons from his old teacher to re-learn some theory and other things. Been looking for a drummer since I started this page, as well as a lead guitarist.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
As we aren't a complete band yet, no live playing has occurred.

I've been playing guitar for over eight years, coming up on nine. I just got my first 8-string guitar and I'm absolutely in love! Hopefully I'll start recording some original work on it soon!
