Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Exidist has existed for a few years as a family/friend fun band consisting of Josh, Brett, and Josh's brother Nathan. They practiced long and hard for a few years. One day finally decided to get a bassist, and that's where Kyle came into the band. They met him at project M.A.Y.H.E.M., a local open stage jam night. They asked him to come and audition for them, and weeks later he did. Right away, the band said he's the bassist, and he can't refuse! Later on down the road we found Nick at the PGX Fair doing sound for all the bands. Our old drummer was not in town to often anymore, and we needed a drummer, so we asked Nick if he could come play drums for us. Ever since then, Nick has been Exidist's drummer...ever since then, Exidist has been complete!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We're up for anyplace, anytime, anywhere!
Special moments:
- We played at Massey Place Stadium for The Walk for ALS, and the biggest music promoter in town saw us, loved us, and crammed us into his fully booked schedule for playing at Fort George Park on Canada Day!
- When we played at the PGX Fair in the year of 2005, our drummer was not in town, and Nick was helping out with sound, and offered to drum for us, so we let him...and, now he's our new drummer because of that!
-We were the first band to play a concert at Sound Entertainment. It was great; we opened up with the old Final Countdown song as a joke, and opened for our own band! We were the opening band, and the headlining band! One of the bands couldn't make it, so we filled in, but it was fun.
