Evil Errands
We are the Evil Errands. We are a punk rock band from Westhoughtobn, Bolton. We tend to gig around Bolton and Manchester. We have just recently won The Fusic Battle Of The Bands 2004 and struck a management contract out of it. Evil Errands consists of Joe Barlow (Vox, Lead Guitar), Jason Edwardson (Guitar), Robert Boardman (Bass Guitar) and Ryan Ambler (Drums, Harmonica and Xylophone).
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Evil Errands first form in early October 2003. Then it was the idea of the 4 members but only had Joe, Jason and Ryan because Bob was on holiday somewhere. Anyway the first Evil Errands gig was at the Westhoughton Reform Club on the 25th October 2003. We was a nervous but it was great gig and it was very well attended with roughly 150 in the audience. We mainly played covers but had 3 of our own songs then. They were: the well known Barry's Bottom, Stranded and a song called Busted. We played covers such as Nirvana, Offspring and Metallica. It went down very well. We also during the course of 2004 played there a few more times aswell as other local places. Only since the summer of 2004 though, that we started to expand our performing and songwriting abilities. By the time the Battle Of The Bands came around in late 2004, we had near enough 7 or 8 of our own songs. Since winning the competition we have signed a 12 month mangement and recording contract and now got a complete set of our own material. So it looks like it will be a busy and great year for us, the EVIL ERRANDS!!!!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play alot of venues around and about such as the Westhoughton Reform Club (first gig) to places such as Bones skates park and the Top Spot in Hindley (next gig).

Jason - Nirvana, Offpring, The Libertines, Bad Religion and Pennywise.
Bob - NoFx, Bad Religion, Ramones, Vandels and Rancid
Ryan - The Smiths, Beatles, Nirvana, The Libertines, Oasis, Rolling Stones, Kinks, The Who, Green Day etc, etc, etc........
