When the band left for college, an original member and drummer Morgan Loy went to Belmont University in Nashville and met current bassist Britt Simmons, from New Orleans. Three years later, guitarist Paul Clark graduated Northwestern University and joined them in Nashville. Shortly after, Paul, Morgan, and Britt, met with AJ to play a small tour of Oklahoma as well as the Wheatland Jam Festival in Kansas including such artists as Gin Blossoms, Blues Traveler, Boston, and many others.

In 1997, Oklahoma City, friends Morgan Loy, Mike Rueb, and AJ Vaughn began playing music. AJ met current guitarist Paul Clark in high school and asked him in the band. A year later they played their first venue at the OKC Arts Festival. The band began playing regularly in and around OKC sharing the stage with national acts such as UPO, The Union Underground, Diffuser, and The Killingtons. Over the last few years Evanhale
has been in college, the band has recorded a progression of demos.
