Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Out of the ashes of the indie noise rock band Valkyrie Shot the Food there arose a beautiful specimen that is known today as Evandora's Fiddle. It all started with Philip Pietri and Blake Shadle creating acoustic guitar melodies in an unconventional hard rock fashion. They were later joined by Amanda Pietri as a vocalist and keyboard player. Not too long after their first release (6 track ep) Blake parted ways and Amanda and Philip went on playing coffee shops and bars as a duo. They recorded the eagerly awaited full length (Between Two Winters) as a duo and are currently writing a batch of new songs with the help up their newest addition - Raul Romero on drums in preperation for a new ep. As opposed to previous pop laden songs, their newest collection is filled with unexplored emotions and tales about fear of death in a dynamic folk meets rock packaging that will surely entice its listeners. Upon completion of the album the band will be playing live shows in the Tampa, Lakeland and Orlando area.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We love playing live shows. We play all sorts of places-coffe shops, bookstores, peoples apartments, bars and so on.
