Estranged: a kickass rock band with a signature set of Guns N' Roses covers
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Our bass player, Johnny, has been playing guitar since a kid..he's incredible, but he reluctantly picked up the bass so we could have a band. Ray, our lead guitarist, is indescribable. He plays covers to the T. Precision is his game. He's been playing since youth. Our drummer, Rick, is in two bands, and is a great drummer. He loves his cowbell. Justin, our frontman, is actually an impersonator so he sings each song as close to the actual band's singer as possible. It has been quoted that he "sounds more like Axl Rose than Axl Rose does!"
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play out every chance we get. We live for it. We play mostly in the RI area.
Your musical influences
Our rock influences are very diverse. We try to pick songs that most bands are afraid to try, and we nail them flawlessly. The big influence that brought us together was Guns N' Roses. However, we play everything from the Spin Doctors to White Zombie.
