Essex Blues Band
Originally an international collaboration with John Cohmer from USA,Tosh Yates on vocals and John Edmonds on axe both from the UK. Re-recordered for the Essex Blues CD.
This song was written during the recent UK heatwave which saw the highest every recorded temperature 100F. It was also at a time when SRV was in my CD player :-)
It's hard to believe that John Cohmer & I were 3,000 miles apart when we recordr this very convincing jam session. John plays guitar, slide & harp over my delta blues backing track.
John C persuaded me to take the vocals on this song. I reluctantly agreed. Thanks to John Cohmer for great slide.
Energetic jam between John Edmonds (UK) and John Cohmer (US). Starts with the old Chuck Berry riff, then really boogies..
Story about the blues heros that went to Chicago to record, so that the world would wake up to the sound of the blues. Thanks to John Cohmer for slide, harp and organ.
Powerful electric rock intrumetal by John Edmonds & Matt Thorpe.
Collaboration with UK blues vocalist Alan "Tosh" Yates. Song based around a typical greeny lick.
Intrumental blues, opening with a typical GM riff. Andrew & John then battle it out lick for lick.
Collab with Tosh Yates. Guitar by my son Andrew doing his EC thing :)
Following the success of "It hurts to cry", this is another slow blues jam from John and son Andrew.
