Escher79
Escher is the return to the heavy, guitar and effects driven music that I grew up with. Escher is a one man band that is still in search of a vocalist. I am heavily influenced by Rammstein, Tool, and Nine Inch Nails among others. Escher seeks to create music that is interesting, new, and imaginative. Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've been playing drums for 5 years, guitar for 3, and bass for 1. In Feb. of 2000, I joined as the drummer for a band that would become Perfect Defect, an industrial metal band from Dallas. We went on to play at the Galaxy Club and the Canyon club, and were slated to perform at Trees, but due to scheduling and time conflict, eventually broke up as we prepared for college. In the summer of 2003, I started an alternative band called Chosen Path with two friends before we left for college. We wrote and recorded an album that we distributed to friends and family before we left in the fall. Since then, I have been serving as the drummer, bass, and guitarist for Escher. Much of what you see on this page is the culmination of a year and a half of individual writing.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Escher does not play live because it is just me. I have no band to support me, and I barely have enough material to support a live show as or right now. My old band, Perfect Defect, has played at the Galazy Club and the Galaxy Club in Dallas.
