Hello! I'm Erik Watts, a guitarist, recording nut living in chesapeake,va. First of all I want to say that you will never read "Erik Watts is this or Erik Watts is that, blah blah blah" on any page that I operate. That is phoney garbage, I'm a real person and so are you. So we will have none of that here!
As I stated above, I'm a guitarist but from time to time on here you will hear some other instruments take the lead. I like to experiment so dont be shocked if you hear me playing the kitchen sink. Most of my influence comes from bands or artist that enjoy musical experimentation, Pink Floyd, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Tool, Queensryche and I just discovered The Mars Volta too, thats a cool group. The point is, take what you hear with a grain of salt. Its music and its supposed to be fun!Band/artist history
I started playing guitar when I was about 14 and joined my first band a year later. I have been in nearly every type of band you could think of from Heavy Metal to Country. The style isnt whats important to me, its about having fun and making good music.Have you performed in front of an audience?I used to play live when I was younger but those days may be over. I'm not sure if I want to deal with all of the garbage that comes along with being in a band and playing live shows. Who knows, I may do it again.

Ibanez guitars, a cheap pawn shop Yamaha bass, Sonar home studio 4, Pod XT live, a cheap Casio Keyboard for MIDI use, KRK monitors and an assortment of mics and rack gear.Anything else?
