My name is E-Quell. I'm a lyricist, an emcee. All about hip hop and elevating it, doing new things. I try to write on another level, I consider my lyrics' complexity, personalness (is that a word?) and depth the reason my music is unique. A lot of my work is produced by Delux, check him out he's on soundclick here also. Thank you for checking me out. Oh yeah, hit up my crew Ill Mic Aphyliates, IMA at http://imapresents.com

I've just been into hip hop since middle school....got into breakin in high school then I decided I wanted to emcee....felt as though I had some talent...battled people at school and started battling on hip hop forums in audio and as a "textcee" (that real hip hop beotch!). I have been brewing up styles for nearly 4 years and now I'm trying to make somthing of it.
Yes I do, I have upcoming shows with other artists coming up in Augusta GA, Savannah GA, Atlanta GA, Athens GA, Fairfax VA and I plan on doing some shows in CA in the farther future. I'll keep yall posted.
I've listened to every kind of rap and hip hop and rock/rap hip hop fusion....I like uniqueness....I like real shit...people who make you feel it...real emcees with ill and unique skill. My influences are emcees like Sage Francis, Aesop Rock, Eyedea, Eligh, Canibus, Chino XL, Nas, Pharoahe Monch, Talib Kweli, Eminem, Tech N9ne, Kool G Rap, Rakim, Wu Tang...it goes on...but I'd say my style is pretty unique.
I've got a computer studio, I use Adobe Audition 1.0, and I have an Edirol audio interface and a Shure Audio Recording Condenser mic.
an open mind is the key life...of course I might be wrong, I'm keepin my mind open for that possibility.
