On May 12th, 1988 in Bayshore Long Island, Mike Alvarez aka Epic was born. Growing up for him wasn't as easy for him. He spent 3 years of his life in North Side Brentwood (Long Island). Him and his father never got to have a tight relationship to begin with. When he was young he always wanted to try new and crazy things. At the age of 3 years old, Epic moved to Palm Bay Florida. Where he would spend the next 12 years of his life.Growing up in a new town with new kids and such was a difficult change for him. Threw Elementary School, Epic would always get in trouble with the teacher's. He find him self coming home and getting yelled at by his mother. Epic's father wasnt around that much growing up in Florida. Since he was born it's just been him and his mother. In the 4th grade Epic was sent out of his class to go to another class room for being disruptive. Little did he know that, that class room change would change his life for ever. He entered the room where the students where learning Poetry. At 1st Epic thought poetry was a girly thing to do. Until he was taught how to write poem's. From that point on he, fell in love with poetry. When ever he was upset of angry, he would write poem's.In the 7th grade Epic moved back from Florida to Brentwood. He was enrolled into a catholic school.He became very angry and more wreckless with his action's. He went to 3 different schools in 1 year, jus to end up back in florida again. He spent 1 more year out there then finally came back to Brentwood. He finally got settled down in his home town. For what he thought might be peace at last, only lasted a short time.For he found himself back in trouble again. With his mother always goin in and out of the hospital, this just fueled Epic's rage even more.He kept on writing his poem's day in and day out.Then he turned his poem into rhyme's. An found him self rapping 24/7.On August 11, 2004 1 of the worst things in his life happened.His Older brother Anthony "Sincere" Marcano was murdered. This drove Epic to the limits of his pain.He didnt know what to do anymore in his life.From that day on his dedicated his life to making music and keepin the love for hip-hop and his brother with him.He made a promise to keep this brother's name in the minds of everyone.Epic's love for hip-hop is unquestionable. A week after his brother's death, he met the Apocalypse Record's squad.He battled every1 they had, which gained him respect.2 weeks later Epic was signed.Since then Epic has changed for the better.
