ENJoyAble
Experimental post-punk from Russia via bass, drumms, PC, keys & tuba
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The experimental post-punk band E.N.JoyAble was formed in mid 1990's in Kursk (Central Russia), the title got its contemporary variant in 1995. Lacking independently thinking musicians in Kursk, all the band line-ups were first of all a coalition of real friends & only afterwards - a musical group. In 1996 they debuted alive at a local fest as duet: Lars - drums, Pinia - bass, vocals. After it the guys played only for specially invited audience. In 1998 E.N.JoyAble was joined by a female vocalist & keyboards player Holly. A year later trio recorded their 1st album "Crazyhouse in the Crazyhouse". Lars was fired for showing no interest to the recording process. Pinia & Holly gave up live performances & became a studio group. It took them 3 years to create a new album "Our Reply to the Sun". To distribute their records E.N.JoyAble chose DIY network: the 2 albums were released as CD-R by the band itself and by DIY labels from Germany and France. In 2005 the band finished their new work,"IsitIndia?", with lyrics in English. It was released in Denmark and the USA. Current line-up is: Leps (drums, bass), Semenova (vocals, keys), Pinia (bass, vocals, tuba, keys).
