The Empire Nation is a collective assembly of Top Notch Game spitterz throughout the country. We currently have chapters in Denver,Co; Taos, & Santa Fe, NM & prospects from Texas and Detroit on line to join.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Tha Empire Nation was founded by L.O.C. & D-Smooth, 2 MC's who originally just wanted to form a group of top notch rappers in their hometown of Denver, CO. However, once they began brainstorming about the direction they wanted to take this group, their concept grew from just a rap group to a network of hip hop's elite underground artists with chapters in various cities throughout the United States. "We created this network for those seriously hungry artists out there who are looking to travel outside of their home market and don't really have the connections to do so." says L.O.C.. With a chapter in New Mexico already established, and prospective chapters in Detroit & Texas on the horizon, you can definitely expect big things from this crew in the future.
This is an elite brotherhood or fraternity if you will, and members are chosen not just for their rhyme skills but also for their character and how they represent themselves as well as the hip hop culture. "We don't just let anyone in to our organization. Skills are definitely important, but not the main requirement. 1st and foremost is your attitude and how your carry yourself. We don't want anyone with a big ego or someone who is always starting trouble to prove how hard he is. Our members are here to help each other out and uplift everyone in tha nation so that we can all achieve our goals." D-Smooth adds.

Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, we play live constantly. We all live for the stage and love the road trips. The most memorable show Ive done was opening up for Slick Rick, Doug E Fresh, Big Daddy Kane, Whodini, MC Lyte, & Yo-Yo for All Star weekend here in Denver. It was like dying and going to hip hop heaven. All of them were cool people and took time to converse with us and give advice on the game.

Jay Z, Slick Rick, 2Pac, Naughty By Nature, Whodini, mainly all old school hip hop with a few new school influences...
