'Emmett North Jr.' guitarist,singer,songwriter & recording artist and former guitarist for Barry White,Isaac Hayes,Chuck Berry, Wolfman Jack and many others here and abroad.I've toured the states, canada,uk.,europe and south america.I have five cd albums and three cd maxi's and you can hear my music samples,see video clips,bio & photo gallery at : my official website or these internet cd stores: ,,, ,. Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I had my first band at seventeen where i sang and played guitar but i started writing lyrics at nine and was introduced to playing the guitar from a friend.I played in the army where i had an american band on post and a german band off post.I started out playing gospel with gospel groups in church and touring on the road at twelve and thirteen.I have played with many bands from my hometown of Dayton,Ohio.I lefted for LA.in 1975' to work for Bobby Womack but was hired by Barry White.I'ved lived in london twice from 81' - 84' and was over to england every year from 88' - 99'.In london i toured and recorded with 'Clem Curtis & The Foundations', The Chosen Few', 'The Funkmasters', and 'The Atlantic Soul Machine'.I'm now working at starting on a smooth jazz cd for 2004' and a r&b cd.Hopefully all goes well.You will find more music a more extensive bio at .
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes i perform live at clubs,jazz/blues festivals,corporate gigs,colleges,fairs and any place that can afford to pay me what i want.They have really enjoyed me in LA., London,Italy,Sweden,Austria,Finland,Parlermo Sicily and Zagreb Serbia where i performed 'The Nisville Jazz Festival' which also featured drummer 'Billy Cobham' one night and 'Incognito' another night,i got lots of press from radio,tv,news papers and entertainment magazines and they treated me like a star performer.Theres been many special moments performing in these countries as a solo artist.I mostly enjoy performing in europe.I've performed in south america but i was accompanying 'Barry White'.

George Benson,Grant Green,Wes Montgomery,Pat Metheny,Wilbert Longmire,Miles Davis,Quincy Jones,James Taylor,Michael Jackson,Sam Cooke,Luther Vandross.(instruments) i love guitar,drums,bass,keyboards,sax,flute,trumpet and percussions.
What equipment do you use?
I play and own two signature 'George Benson' GB 10 guitars a fender strat , Washburn bass, Sigma acoustic guitar,crybaby wah - wah, Roland JC -120 chorus amp, Roland Cube 100 amp.
Anything else?
I love women especially dark women like italian,sicilian,latinas,black,mideastern/persian any olive skinned ladies including my redbone ladies too! In a nutshell i just love beautiful women.I love good herb,good concert halls,good performances a good day!
