The Band started with the same members (minus drummer Espen Bjarkeid) in 1992 under the name Atlantis.
Released the demo "Atlantis" in 1994 which recieved good critics in Scream Magazine (Norway's biggest Hard Rock Magazine) and various radio stations.
Fall 1994: The bandname changes to "Contradiction in Terms" and the demo "Demigod" gets released.
Summer 1995: Due to musical differences, the band split up.
The period 1995-99: The members are involved in different projects.
In the fall of 1999 the band got together again, this time with a new drummer. Changed name to Emerald and released the demo "Stargazer" in April 2000. The bands members has a wide range of inspirations that contribute to the deversified sound. Please see homepage for more info.
We categorize(if we have to) our music as melodic based hard rock with elements of progressive metal.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We love playing live! It is the best way to show the world that we love (our) music and that we won't stop until we've succeeded in spreading the message of our music to the corners of the world!
