Band/artist history
Emcee Squared (The Chosen One) has been in this bidness since the first Yo! MTV Raps... if you can remember that! A lyrically skilled MC with the added studio engineering skillz that allow for not only the coldest rhymes, but a brilliantly crafted sound to accompany.
Emcee Squared is banded with a diverse group of artists not adhering to today's standard rap music formula. They are all long time veteran entertainers who do this for the upliftment of hip hop culture and rap music, their fans and for thier own enjoyment.
This crew definitely brings with them traditional and non-traditional skillz that separate and elevate them above the rest. They are very professional about recording and shows. You can expect a great time and professional quality music when Emcee Squared and his crew are involved in the production.
DJ Caution started this thang with Emcee Squared many many years ago and has been well known for turning out a party and cuttin' the shit out of a record. He is an outspoken advocate of traditional hip-hop
elements and also gets his hands dirty in music production as the co-producer for Movement Studios.
Jason is a traditional student of that phat ass saxophone you hear in their cuts. He adds a rarely seen element in today's rap bands... the live instrument. Also involved in studio production, Jason offers a wide range of musical style that seriously help define the group's sound.
As you can see, this group represents a sundry of various talents and influences that make it unique, identifiable and well-received by music lovers young and old.
