Listening to Embryonic Devourment will tantalize your brain with technical grind ferocity. An original blend of Death metal and grindcore to satisfy your thirst for blood..
Embryonic Devourment formed in 2002 in Mendocino County Ca. with founding members Luke Boutiette (drums) and Lauren Pike (guitar). The two members had already played together before in a project called Ye Old Skabbard and had decided that they wanted to play a more brutal death grind style. After 8 months of writing and playing as a two piece they decided to add Austin Spence (bass) and Johnny “Helvete” Desroches (vocals) formerly of the band Ciribus.
This new line up clicked very well since Lauren, Luke and Austin had already jammed together in their younger years. When Ciribus broke up Johnny was ready to start singing for another project and Austin suggested to join Embryonic Devourment. Now that the new line up was set, they started to play shows in the Northern California extreme metal scene.
Now, after gaining a respectable following they are ready to record their first full length cleverly titled “Usurping the Secret Society”. It will be recorded at Trident Studios Nov. 30th and will be engineered by former VILE vocalist Juan Uertega. Awesome music. I love that deep gut voice. This music is very unique in that you have the whole gore grind voice but it's accompanied by death metal type of music. I think it's great.sorry bud, Embryonic Necropsy and Devourment isn't the name of our band, and anyway we hadn't even heard of that song when we came up with the name.dude why are u copying carcass with the nameHi !
