Emaciate were formed in the midst of July 2004, with the average age of the members at just 17. All members shared a common interest of creating music that goes beyond the standard death metal formula, keeping the listener engrossed with interesting rhythms, melodies and musical ideas. Taking influences from a wide array of styles, including Jazz Fusion and Classical (and Justin Timberlake), Emaciate believe that the band should always let the music speak for itself, and that it should be kept free of any gimmicks or image.
Eager to get things moving, the band recorded their first 2 songs at Lewis home-studio, and got some good results. The recorded tracks are being given out on a free promo CD, and the overall reaction has been very good so far. Emaciate are currently writing and recording new material, and will be playing shows from around the beginning of February 2005.Your musical influences
