Elpo from the Zown.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Zown: 5 person collective, 2 mcs 1 singer 1 dj 1 producer. Been making music since 2003. I myself rap in english while Nupster raps in dutch. Made one demo and are busy working on our album now.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Playing live is what keeps a band alive so hell yeah. Anyplace they'll have us. genk on stage 2005; It's all good in the hood party in Antwerp.
Your musical influences
When it comes to hip hop i like a lot of stuff. Biggest influences: Biggie, Big L, Talib Kweli, Mr Lif, Immortal Technique, Wu Tang, Saigon, a tribe called quest, Big punisher, Cryptic One, KRS ONE, Masta Ace, Nas, ... actually any mc that got skills with words.
