ELEKTRIKA
At all times from scratch, write and play it on a synth/midi-keyboard connected to a PC or a simple synth set to piano or string-like sound for checking melody, harmonies and such. I I know my mastering sucks, but I do not consider myself a sound engineer, nor do I want to become one. I enjoy making up songs -- I'm a composer, at best.
, but prefer playing each piece of music with my own ten fingers on the keyboard. This of course requires lowering the recording speed for some tracks, well, who can play 9 to 10 keys per second as is necessary for some tunes? :-)
(Feb 18 2004), so I'd most appreciate if you could listen to my uploads and
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
There's not much band history ;) I quit smoking in January this year, so my fingers needed something else to do. I reactivated my almost 10 year old midi-keyboard, which I used to play around with back then, and that's it.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I'm NOT a DJ, I do not mix or such. Also, I never played live so far. Which means absolutely nothing since I just started composing music ;) Though I probably could play live, 'cause I can read score and my fingers seem to be quick enough.
What equipment do you use?
A lame 500 MHz P III and an old Roland MK II midi keyboard. "DISK OH-FIVE" was entirely played on an Italian synth/work station named "S2R", a rather strange and rare thing I guess, still in my possession. And a good old Moog Rogue sits there, an idiot sold it to me for less than 30 dollars. At the moment I'm playing around with Reason, that's it. No other software or such. Need to buy better mastering and synth software in the future.
Anything else?
Funny, how many people here are typing the answers to your questions like a third-person narrator.
