ELEKTRIKA
ELEKTRIKA creates very unusual and unique electronic music, full of hand crafted sounds. No melody looping here. All done by hand on a keyboard, with precision
GUITARBOY IS DEAD GUITARBOY IS DEAD
Guitarboy Is Dead, electronica game soundtrack. Play this along with a classic jump'n'run. As usual, devoid of loops and samples.
EMBARKING INTO THE UNKNOWN EMBARKING INTO THE UNKNOWN
Tones of hope and courage struggle with desperation and anxiety in this piece, set during the height of the Irish Potato Famine. Come on a journey with the resilience of the human spirit, as the Irish find their way "home".
MONTRÉAL MONTRÉAL
[3:30] Lean back, have a listen, and relax. This piece is very smooth, with a warm ambience. No overbearing percussion on MONTREAL; no cymbals crashing into your ear with this one. As always, devoid of loops and samples.
DISK OH-FIVE DISK OH-FIVE
[4:18] I recorded this entirely on hardware synths, without the aid of a computer :) I like to think of this as my first "real" song. The two minute introduction to this cool industrial song builds you up nicely for some intense listening!
COMEBACK COMEBACK
[5:00] The intro to this one is explosive, so be careful with that volume! Again, no loops, samples or midi-files incorporated into this piece. Strictly my fingers on a keyboard doing the work :) (Feb 2004)
At all times from scratch, write and play it on a synth/midi-keyboard connected to a PC or a simple synth set to piano or string-like sound for checking melody, harmonies and such. I I know my mastering sucks, but I do not consider myself a sound engineer, nor do I want to become one. I enjoy making up songs -- I'm a composer, at best.
, but prefer playing each piece of music with my own ten fingers on the keyboard. This of course requires lowering the recording speed for some tracks, well, who can play 9 to 10 keys per second as is necessary for some tunes? :-)
(Feb 18 2004), so I'd most appreciate if you could listen to my uploads andThere's not much band history ;) I quit smoking in January this year, so my fingers needed something else to do. I reactivated my almost 10 year old midi-keyboard, which I used to play around with back then, and that's it.Have you performed in front of an audience?A lame 500 MHz P III and an old Roland MK II midi keyboard. "DISK OH-FIVE" was entirely played on an Italian synth/work station named "S2R", a rather strange and rare thing I guess, still in my possession. And a good old Moog Rogue sits there, an idiot sold it to me for less than 30 dollars. At the moment I'm playing around with Reason, that's it. No other software or such. Need to buy better mastering and synth software in the future.Funny, how many people here are typing the answers to your questions like a third-person narrator.
