Elegy for Iris

We just love to play music. It's something we have always wanted to do since we were very young. We want to be onstage and have everyone singing along with every word. For people to feel what we're feeling, that's when you know you've made it.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
It all started with fliers and phone calls. When guitarist/back up vocalist Karl Nilsens band was looking for a second guitar player, he posted fliers. Jason Deutsch called about the position and after an audition joined the band. The sound of the band started to change dramatically and soon after Karl and Jason broke off from the other members and started a new project named Elegy for Iris. They then made more fliers to fill the other spots in the band. Within the first week two spots were filled. First, Adrian Flores auditioned to be the vocalist for the group, after hearing him sing ,he then listened to some of the ideas Karl and Jason had. He was offered the job and he eagerly accepted. Another response to a flier was bassist/screamer Austin Haines and after a fake bass off he joined the group. But no calls came for the drumming position. Adrian had a friend who was a drummer and was looking for a band so the call was made, Aaron Montano joined the band two days before a performance for talents scouts of the new record label, This-Function Records. The new found band impressed the label and a demo was cut within the first month. E4I has only been together for a few months but they have a unique mature sound that takes most bands years to find. The live show is amazing, every member is soaked in sweat, ears ringing and sometimes there hands bleed after a performance. Even though the band hasnt been around for long they already have a following of devoted fans.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
