Hi, this is Electronica Ghost Voice Phenomena, or EGVP for short. It's an experimentally ambient band, combining dronework and sonic textures with some unusual ideas. It's been around for a while, but not widely heard, so here's a chance to get some more listeners.Band/artist history
EGVP has been around for a while, and has been the project solely of one man.Have you performed in front of an audience?As of yet, we don't play live, given that only one man is in the band and it would be hard to transfer the work of two guitars and two synthesizers into a one man band without the use of a backing tape. However, if there's anyone in Chester who happens to like this sort of stuff, and wants to just create soundscapes in a live situation, give me a shout and we'll work something out.
Your musical influences
Bass Communion and Robert Fripp are the two main influences here. Other influences include Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson in general, the sound of life rushing by, general ambience and electronica and the noises my guitars make. Amongst other things.What equipment do you use?
PRS Tremonti, Marshall Rocket Deluxe, Wesley electro-acoustic Marshall amps, Boss effects pedals, a Samson CO1U mic, and a E-MU 49 USB keyboard and GarageBand.Anything else?
If anyone wants to collaborate with me, get in contact and I will see what I can do. I warn you, I'm not very good musically and am a really sloppy guitar player and an interesting keyboardist, but I do like creating musical textures.
