Band/artist history
Eleanors Fault from outside of Chicago, IL, formed in April of 2003, but the seeds were planted in late 2000. Dan, Chris, Jim, and Mike all played in a band called Split ends. Over the course of the next 2 years, they made vast improvements and style changes. Unfortunately they still just didnt seem to have what it took. Until finally they found a solution, a remedy if you will. They heard from friends that a fan of their band, Ron Clark, was a singer and looking for a band. So they decided to take a chance with nothing to lose, and talked to him. The ironic part of asking Ron to be in the band was that he had always wanted to join the band since he had first seen us. So they held a couple practices with him, playing some covers and a few originals to see how he could sing and write. From the first count in, it was pure magic and adrenaline. Ron not only brought a new power to the band, but also gave the rest of the members a boost in energy. Since the arrival of Ron, they changed their name to Eleanors Fault, and have started booking shows like crazy. The last 6 months have been incredible, being fortunate enough to be playing a show, if not 2 a weekend. They found themselves doubling their success every day. Their no-nonsense promoting has given them over 3000 plays on mp3.com in October, their first month up. The all or nothing attitude of the band has gotten them this far and continues to push them to never give up. This has been a dream of theirs for as long as theyve known each other and they will stop at nothing until theyve achieved their goals. A tour for this winter is already in the works and they plan on touring again in spring and summer of 2004. They couldnt be more ready for it. So keep an eye out for Eleanors Fault in a city near you.
