EKLYPZ
Member of the famed Dayton group TOOMB, EKLYPZ brings back that element that hip hop has been missing for several years...phat beats, dope lyrics.
Combined with natural raw talent with lyrics and production, EKLYPZ is no newcomer when it comes to putting out hip hop classics and rocking live shows.
Working on his new album "E=MC2", he teamed up with longtime producer and friend PRIME of studio B-237 productions/BIG BALD HEAD ENTERTAINMENT for his lead single that's blazin' every club in the Ohio and surrounding areas with "All 10".
PRIME speaks highly of EKLYPZ saying..."I knew that magic was gonna be there for this one. We've always said that we need to do something together but our schedules were always conflicting. I've never heard anyone more raw but graceful on the mic than EKLYPZ. And when it comes to live shows; this cat can't be touched. But look for big things to pop off with E."
This is just the beginning for EKLYPZ!!
So in the meantime, put ya hands up, and lemmie see All 10
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
You can catch me at Elbows in Dayton, Ohio rippin' cats a new one on the mic or anywhere giving MC'ing lessons.
Your musical influences
Everything. From oldschool hip hop to this new crap that's out now. From rock to neo soul. Basically anything that catches my attention. But I've really been diggin' on some of the neo soul stuff that noboby is givin' an ear to.
What equipment do you use?
I use a microphone. Be it fisher price, Sure SM58, Audio Technica or whatever the hell, I'll rip it. But you really have to ask PRIME my producer what he uses. All I really know is that he can freak the hell out of an Ensoniq ASR-10 Keyboard.
Anything else?
E=MC2 features the wide range of lyrical talent from this Dayton, Ohio native. The album has 15 joints on there totaling up to 50 plus minutes of good hip hop music. Some commercial highlights of the album is the party jam All 10 (feat. F.O.R.C.E.), who is also a member of TOOMB; the old school throwback Whodini lacing of Stand Up (Hands Up) and the feel good street joint of Everybody which features the smooth vocals of Salone just to name a few. Besides the commercial hits, EKLYPZ who is also known for his witty street freestyle ability, brings the heat on such tracks like Hot Ones (feat. Young Automatic), 2:37 pm, and more.
EKLYPZ has been a lyrical standout in Dayton, Ohio for several years along with his group TOOMB. Winning many MC Battles and performing as opening acts to the likes of The Notorious B.I.G., Keith Murray and the Def Squad, and many others, is only scratching the surface of his talents. Recently EKLYPZ has been collaborating with many local acts in Dayton from guest appearances (rap and R&B) to penning some of the most intriguing lyrics for many up and coming rappers as well as TOOMB member Salone for his solo R&B project currently in the works.
Produced by longtime friend PRIME, E=MC2 is destined to be the most sought after hip hop album released in the Midwest with a goal of national recognition.
