e.i. "Tha Warlock" is not here to save hip hop, rather he is here to save hip hops listeners one at a time. Coming from a local music scene of individuals attempting to stand out by becoming the best impersonators of the current rap trend, his music is as much a relief as it is intimidating. From the time he began seriously writing and recording back in 2001 to the present his music has always been more of a release for his frustrations and voice for his observations than a way a to bond with others. His songs are his stories, always managing to explain something experienced, or observed usually in his dark, passionate fashion, superbly mixed in an aggressive get that pop shit out of here fashion. Tha Warlock soothingly attacks his listener wit the gentle power of a vampire and devotion of heroin addict. The key to his sound is his attention to detail which comes from his sound engineer background and is what clearly separates him from the average emcee. He knows how he wants the song to sound as soon as he knows what he wants to say. His engineer background allows him the control that most artist in this genre of music only dream of. At 19 years old, Tha warlock is already a veteran emcee and only needs the help of a waiter or waitress to serve this dish of nurturing musical substance to the starving masses.
