Ego-is-him
musical meanderings, vocal vehemence, poetic suspended license, bass bantering, similie stammering, metaphoric misplacement... (it's our insane sonic luvchylde. *heh*)
Basically we're a spoken word duo. I guess we're kinda avante-garde. Maybe eclectic is a better word. Some of our stuff is kinda straight ahead hip-hop oriented but there's also a lot of improv.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
This all started off by a suggestion from Freddy to team up with Jhon for Bearapalooza. Jhon, if you've never met him, is a wonderful nut and I enjoy his company and a lot of his art and poetry. I'm a rather artsy-fartsy type of musician. It's a match made in some level of Dante's hell.. The 3rd one perhaps?
Anywho...
The project had a fantastic ride though time, circumstance and general life directions seem to have ended things. Did everyone get it? Dunno. Probably not. Did someone get it? I'm sure they did!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We did a number of gigs - Bearapalooza 2003 (NYC), All Out Arts (NYC), Gendercrash (Boston) and Queering Sound (DC).
Anything else?
Again, another one of Tosh's former projects. See also
