Effigy (uk)
Effigy are a metal/punk/hardcore band based in Fife, Scotland. Playing covers (FFAF, Bullet For My Valentine, Papa Roach and many others) and working on our own music we have a sound that we can call our own, with hardcore/metal style riffing over a punk rhythmn, with vocals that sit somewhere between the two.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The band was formed one night when Travis, Gav and JP were talking about music (as usual) and on the the mention of "we should start a band" the clouds parted and the moonlight shone down on us(i know it sounds cheesy but thats pretty much how it happened) After finding a drummer and singer we've been workin on our own songs, playing some covers and workin towards producing a demo.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Our next gig is at Subway in Edinburgh on Friday the 2nd of September playing alongside Random Acts and Tonic Solution. Tickets will be 2 and doors open at 7.00pm. There will be a bar operating but under 18's ARE permitted.

Travis - Iron Maiden, Funeral For A Friend, The Offspring, Sum 41, I try to take something from all the music i listen to.
JP - Funeral For A Friend, Incubus, Million Dead,
Gav - Iron Maiden, Atreyu, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine.
Dan - Nicko Mcbrain, Travis Barker, Travis Smith, Lars Ulrich, Thomas Lang, anyone who can drop a good beat really.
Ross - Ian Watkins, Chris Cornell.
