Edward's Buzzer
We are a 5 peice ska/geek band. the geek is there because, that makes us sound new and fresh. and dope too. word.Band/artist history
Edward's Buzzer all started as a 2 man indie band making short, choppy recordings (which we still havent gotten a total hang of) based on wacky and nerdy lyrics. The players were Mac on Bass/Vocals and Joe on Guitar/Ocarina, as well as the famous drum machine on Mac's keyboard.
After recording 3 recordings, one of which being the locally known "Glowing Snot", the band aquired Bob Mastowski (Ataraxia) to accompany Joe on the guitar, and help out with the vocals. Soon EB started recording more songs, making their first self released CD entitled "Stick it in the Oven, Let it Burn", which featured the even more locally famous "Meatloaf". After selling all the CD's out in a rediculously fast 2 day span, the band needed an actual drummer to add some depth to live shows.
Graham Hamer was just the man. He joined and began playing drums on the keyboard, and then the band practiced their first live set, including 2 covers, and Meatloaf. Edward's Buzzer played their first show in Mid December at the Livonia High School Battle of the Bands. Although they didnt get in the top 3, they were congradulated on playing a very fun and interactive show, which is what EB is well known for.
So later, an obvious success at that show, the band made a whole new set, and played for the first time at the local open mic (as well as Graham actually playing a real drum kit!).
But, Graham spontainiously combusted, and was no where to be seen for a couple weeks, so EB changed the lineup to put everyone on different instruments for each song, which turned out to be very cool, showing the audience that they were multi talented, and we wore cool wigs!
After playing another show at Open Mic, Bob and EB had to part ways due to the musical tastes of the majority of the band. The band knew rock/metal was fun, but we also knew that we had to play from our hearts, which meant Ska was the only choice. We changed the lineup, with the only original people being Mac on bass/vox and Joe on Guitar. They sought out for a band that shared the love of ska that they did and found Shane Ward on the Trombone, and Ben Woodruff on the Trumpet. After trying out some drummers, a giant warp hole formed in the middle of Mac's bowl of Golden Grahams, and sure enough, GRAHAM (haha thats almost a pun!) HAMER appeared! He eagerly joined EB and reclaimed his rightful throne as the Drummer of EB. Edward's Buzzer began practicing right away, and now has a whole new set ready to play for the masses!
After almost a year of existance, EB has finally found their groove as musicians, and are now playing live more often, and are planning to record another CD in the near future.
