Eddy Lemaire

Sitar, progressive music, experimental, instrumental or vocal, i put in this page the music i composed, from the past to the future ! It appear differents bands, duos or solo. "Digitaàl "is an electronic progressive indian music, "Feez" " Eddy L" "EL Feez" is what i've done in solo, "Wired" is early experimental music, some classicals duos with friends (Santur, tablas), and Alzeef is the compiler ! Some compositions sound like music for films, another hippie music, or electro, world, or inclassable style ...
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Starting music at 8, Guitar at 11 and rock band at 15. After, creating another band of experimental and seventies style "Wired" in 1987. That's in that time i record and gamed with tapes and effects like delays. Then listen to Indian music and cannot resist ! So i learned Sitar in 1994. Between band for money, i'd compose and play my music with "Feez" in 1997. Then i meet Bruce Brunetto the bass man of the last band "Digitaàl". In Digitaàl, i play sitar like an electric guitar with effects, find the experimental and oriental mood i like ! Of course i continue to compose the music i need to live in peace in my mind and body with "Alzeef and Ninja production".
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play live in France with Digitaàl band, or in classical duo
Your musical influences
Music of 70's like Led Zep, J. Hendrix, Gong, Pink floyd, Yes, Grateful dead, The Beatles... I like progressive music. Oriental music is a good influence too, North and south of India, Magreb, Qawali. And on another side, sound experimentation is in my head, since i had gamed with tape recorder and delays, guitars feedbacks, effects... I'm in a spiritual mood, producing introspective music, and trying to expand it to the Universe, trying to understand space, time in the infinite way of sounds...
