Durst
Entirely self-produced at Termilee Recording Studio. Basically just two guys making stuff up, adding some art to it, and pawning it off as music. But, whatever, people seem to have liked it so far, so I'm gonna keep doing it, enjoy!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Started in the Fall of 2009 with some music I wrote entirely as a joke. From then on I continued to write and record some stuff, until recently I wrote and produced Zero Event (the album, not EP), which is easily the best example of what resembles Durst as a whole. Currently I am rerecording all of the old stuff to release properly.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Not right now. Too much going on to get around to doing that, plus the lineup isn't exactly fixed at the moment, so getting guys to play everything would take some time.
Your musical influences
Pretty much anything and everything other than rap and country, but mainly bands like Insomnium, Katatonia, Swallow the Sun, Mors Principium Est, Opeth, Periphery, Tosin Abasi, Meshuggah, Veil of Maya, John Petrucci, Joe Satriani etc.
What equipment do you use?
PC, Epiphone G310, Galveston 7-string, Wechter PM-3101TE, Ernie Ball Electric Strings, D'Addario Acoustic Strings, Reaper, A host of plugins and samples
Anything else?
There are two kinds of people in the word: Those who like ducks, and those, who are indifferent.
