duresse
duresse - suburban parlor anthems.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Duresse was formed by Ricky Brennan and Derek Dutra while Ricky was busy playing guitar in Wheat and Derek was busy attending Berklee, performing in various bands around Boston, and doing time as both a recording and live sound engineer. The two met in high school through a mutual friend and started their first band, Ricky on bass and Derek on drums. One of several lineups they played with included chidhood friend Brad Archer, a guitarist at the time. After taking a break from playing music and attendin college in the forests of Western Mass, Brad was persuaded to take an interest in playing bass when Duresse began to take shape. The results could not be more natural. Duresse is presently working on their debut six song EP, tentatively entitled "Elate".
Stay tuned.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Duresse resides just outside of Boston, MA and has appeared at TT the Bear's Place, the Middle East, and the Abbey Lounge, to name a few.
