Dubble Up Bio:
The group Dubble Up, is a New Jersey based Hip-Hop duo formed in Plainfield, New Jersey in 1995. In 1995 Yung Cypha (Anthony Henderson), moved to Plainfield from Roselle to attend High School. The first day he met E-Rif (Darrell Benford), and they immediately became friends. Once the two found out they both had a liking for poetry, they would write and share each others poems. Then one day it all started, E-Rif wrote a rhyme and left it under a desk in his class, When Cypha came in and read it, he wrote one as a response. At first they were a Trio with another friend Johnny Cash (Katrell Brooks), soon after the group was formed Cash moved to Virginia. So with only the two men they formed the group Dubble Up in the spring of 1999. That’s when they met Outsidaz member and now their mentor Young Zee. Zee took the two under his wing and began to show them the business, they accompanied him to shows, studio sessions, parties, etc. As the years went by Dubble Up gained knowledge from Zee, and within themselves started to develop the style that they have been tearing tracks up with ever since. With Yung Cypha being the hard punch line artist and E-Rif being bright and very lyrical artist, they have a chemistry that can only be destined for greatness. In 2004, they gained another third member by the Name of Kaz Killanger (Cassie Green), Kaz sparked a flame in the two men that they were afraid they had lost. Kaz brought back the hunger, desire and the drive that Cypha and E-Rif began to question in themselves. Although Kaz was only a group member for a short period of time his impression is still felt to this day. Kaz now resides in Maryland and is the head of a group named Marv-Squad, the extended family of Dubble Up. Now, in 2005, Dubble Up has momentum, and is gaining respect in the underground as a dynaminc group with snappy melodic hooks and hard lyrics. With something for everyone Du
bble Up is destined to be the next big duo in Hip-Hip. With people like Young Zee, The Outsidaz, Rah Dagga and D-12 backing and supporting them they have began the slow grind to stardom. Now hooked up with Teem 180, a management group out of New Jersey, its only a matter of time before Dabble Up take the rap world by storm.
