D-Town Mafia: Inno-fuckin'-vation.
Maybe, maybe not. You be the judge. We enjoy writing and recording and we put it out here on the Web just in case anyone wants to hear it. You like it, cool. You hate, I couldn't give a fuck less.Band/artist history
The D-Town Mafia started out as a simple friendship, like most groups do. Jeff (Bluto Prick) and Jason (Puffy Muff) have basically been friends since birth and Jason and Frankie (Fatal Frankie) have been friends since 3rd grade.
Frankie started rapping 5-6 years ago in a group called Big Dolla Records, but nothing ever really came from that. Then he formed a group with a couple of other friends and they were called Three White Guys Plus Da Big L and they were...interesting, to say the least. Frankie was also part of the short-lived Dez Money Posse which featured local "superstars" Heavy Clown, Bloody Da Klown, and Marklenko.
Then...the D-Town Mafia. To be quite honest, they can't fucking remember HOW they formed, but work began during the summer of 2001, with the earliest known lyrics written being that of "Hate". This is known because Jeff was fucking Megan at the time and, unfortunate as that is, I have to keep track of our group history by "when so-and-so was fucking Megan."
Over the course of several months, the group wrote lyrics non-stop...no beats, just straight-up writing. In the spring of 2002, the Big Tymers released "Still Fly" as a single and video and the Mafia was struck with brilliance. Frankie and Jason immediately went to work on the lyrics for "Still White" and within a few weeks, recorded it. To date, this is still considered their best song (by Jason) and a cult classic among their friends.
After "Still White" was recorded, they began recording other songs, including "Captain Bluto" (a skit, more-or-less), "Fatal" (another skit, lol), "Hate", "Anti-Christ", "Bitch Please III" (dedicated to Megan, the loosest slut in town), "Nonsense", "Spare Us" (a diss track in response to their Granite City then-rivals, the SW Kliq), "The Orange Hour" (the theme song to "the #2 Juggalo-access show on the Web!"), and "SW Homiez" (a beef-squasher).
They have a ton of lyrics, only a few recorded songs, and even fewer that include Jeff. If they ever actually release a CD in some fashion, it'll be aptly titled .
Jason and Frankie, serving as the executive producers (and work horses), recently completed their first full-length release, a mixtape entitled . The CD is their greatest accomplishment to date.
Halfway through the completion of , Jeff left for the Navy, leaving the trio with only two active members. Once the mixtape was released, and Jason and Frankie had a chance to think it over, they decided to add long-time homie, Wendy C., to the group making it a four-person trio ("The G-Unit Solution," as it should be known as from now on).Have you performed in front of an audience?Nope.
