Currently DDK is just one guy, me. I've got about an albums worth of tunes, all which dip in and out of different genres from breabeat, to slowed down electro to almost industrial but there is a certain cohesion between them all. My aim is to create layers of sound which use a vairty of live and electronical instruments, which will blend together to make it impossiable to tell the difference from organic to mechinical sounds. I'm not at a stage i'm happy with yet but once i can afford some quality mics and sum outboard equipment i will be well away.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Not much to say other than doing tunes on a computer for a few years. Doing a course as well so been working in a studio . Pretty boring, hopefully that will change soon
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
no not at the moment but once i work out how to play all my sounds live i will (which will be soon)
Your musical influences
Nine inch nails, Prodigy, Aphex twin, moby, air, tweaker, alec empire, depeche mode, human league some drum and bass, ills, to name a few
What equipment do you use?
Mostly i use a Pc running cubase, reason, some plugins, soundforge and a Yamaha motif keyboard. I've also had limted studio use where ive used a mackie mixing desk, joe meek compressor,lexicon units, supernova, virus and some other stuff
