Dronica is a 2-piece experimental, psychedelic, avant garde, noise project formed by musician/artist Emma-O and Cowboy Junkies' accordion player, Jaroslaw Czerwinec. Dronica's music is like a rusty chainsaw over a blackboard on a rocketship to a distant galaxy, where Jimi Hendrix, Syd Barrett and Johnny Ramone await to join in on the jam.Band/artist history
A guitar player and songwriter for 16 years, Emma-O has been playing in punk, rock, metal and experimental bands in Toronto and Ottawa since 1995. She is currently the lead guitarist in the garage-punk band The Johnnys and also has her own solo project called The Gloom.
Jaroslaw Czerwinec has 50 years experience with the accordion under his belt, including 20 years spent touring the world and recording with The Cowboy Junkies. He has also recorded professionally with Gord Downie (Tragically Hip) and Theresa Sokyrka (Canadian Idol finalist). He also records and performs his own music under the name Dronehead.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes.

"Beyond, beyond, totally beyond, perfectly beyond: Awakening ..Yes!"ohhhh those deep tones at the end....very cool :Dif you asked me what i was listening to would i know it was an accordion?...yea i think on this one, i could tell...do you ever listen to the Pogues?...oooop way short...lolyea icicles....starshowers...i like this one...shuddering...hmmmmm...then silence...i like how it contrast after the sound...feeling the flux of vibrations that had been agitating the air suddenly even out and disappear...its like the silence compliments the sound...is part of the piece.Did you know that recently some penguins have been recorded flying? Isn't that amazing? evolution right before our very eyes
ohhh what's this? is it going stop soon? lol
oh good this is a long one, i was trying to praise in the last post the power of abstract art...how it moves us to experience ourselves so we come away with more than say looking at a detailed painting or listening to a ripping guitar solo, when you see or hear those, it's like "wow" for the moment but when you walk away it's gone, but the abstract you keep because the experience is internal...ok...it stopped, onto the next one...i wish these were free, so i could download themAll comments (7)
