DroneTalk
DroneTalk is a musical experiment which hopes to document or perhaps shed new light on what it is to be a cog in america's corporate machine. much of what you will hear in the music are words gathered from real conversations, phone calls, and meetings from personal experience in the workplace.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
About 6 months ago, I decided to concentrate my frustrations of the corporate world into a musical, artistic endeavor. I needed an outlet for all the negative energy I was feeling. DroneTalk was my project of release.
Your musical influences
My favorite bands are Radiohead, Bjork, Aphex Twin.. I draw much influence from the ambient works of Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, and others.
What equipment do you use?
The text-to-speech synthesis software was called ReadPlease 2002. My notation was done in CakeWalk with many, many SoundFonts from the HammerSound soundfont library.
Anything else?
The goal of this work (if it would be so bold) is to give the listener a new perspective on corporate america. perhaps bring them to a thought they have not considered before. maybe it might even help some to question themselves and their life.
