I'm just a fan of music, from Breakbeat to Hiphop, Trance, Rock, Down Tempo, you name it. The best of it will always have an underlying FUNK that makes your head nod. Lately I've been dabbling in making some of my own music .. this is for my entertainment not yours, but if you like it, then cool.
If in any case you want to use a beat, you must get permission. I typically lease them for around $50 a pop, or by other arrangements.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I picked up some software and started working on beats for rap purposes, primarily to help my friend with his work. Then, I just went off in a few different directions. Shazaam.
The music has expanded, and crossed over into genres such as Breakbeat, Big Beat, Trip-hop, Progressive and Trance influenced by my favorite big name artists like Crystal Method, Fluke, Hybrid, Cirrus, Eminem, Jay-Z and many others. And even more inspiration has come from underground and independent artists like Bitsmart, BuZ, my good friend D'cyple, local rapper Salvation, local beat technicians like Sweet Beets and Keyzer and Subsyde.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I often play live as the host of The Funkyard on , Saturdays 5-7pm. A special moment is anytime a stranger walks up to you and says they dig the music you play :)
Your musical influences
