Rock n roll, the devils music was meant to be dangerous and DragStrip Riot aim to keep it that way. A stripped-down, angry, unadulterated, and unapologetic brand of rock n roll that will make you want to drink, fight, and f__k - This is DragStrip Riot!
Band/artist history
Rock n roll, the devil's music, was meant to be dangerous and DragStrip Riot aim to keep it that way. Blasting out of your speakers at 100mph, DragStrip Riot plays a stripped-down, unadulterated, and unapologetic brand of rock n roll with nods to its origins in punk, blues, garage, and country. Reminiscent of the angry sounds of Link Wray's reverb-drenched guitar, the melodies and aggression of the Misfits, and the bluesy stomp of Bo Diddley, DragStrip Riot's music turns it up a notch and flies a middle finger in the face of payola playlists with a fresh sounding hybrid rock n roll. This ain't your daddy's rock n roll and it would probably scare the shit out of anyone who likes their music "safe". In the live arena, their intensity can be felt the moment the first chord is strummed and a leather jacket clad singer in dark glasses shouts, "We are DragStrip Riot!!!" Suddenly the drums roll in and the band kicks off at a breakneck pace, slowing down only occasionally to let the audience catch their breath, dance with their sweethearts, and gulp a beer or two. The combination of DragStrip Riot's thick backbeat, intelligent lyrics, anthemic hooks, punk rock aggression, and rock n roll riffs draw a considerable cross-section of music fans to any show they play; from the good girls that love bad boys, to your regular-old run of the mill rock n roll fan. It's the life they live, it's the life that they love. And too much of something is NEVER enough!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We never stop playing shows. We've played sold out shows around the northwest and on up into Canada. Special moment: 12 audience members ejected for fighting in Vancouver B.C.
