Top notch across the board. Playlisted.
Just watched/listened to your version of Poems, Prayers and Promises by JD. First heard that song at 6. First record I ever purchased was JD's Greatest hits. Always loved the song, and at 51 it really hits home. Miss JD as he was a big influence on me. The music lives on. Thanks for helping that happen.
Kudos to you for pulling this off. Im sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house either. Beautiful song, and I'm sure your wife absolutely loved it just as the congregation did. Well done.
Hey Doug, great to meet another Canadian on here. Been through Montreal on the way to the east coast, but never spent any time there. Next time though, after Covid ends...if that every happens. Really soulful tune here, and I could relate to the lyrics. Each year seems to go by faster and faster. Before we know if our kids are in college/university, getting married, and making us (gulp) grandparents! Like the harp in this, the vocals have a really good edge, guitar has just the right amount of grit, and the mix is very good.
Ha! Fun song, Douglas!
Sounds great!
