Hey, love that guitar and vocal effect on Bookstore. It has a CSNY feel to it. COOL!

Beautiful summer evenings in the garden at Silly's. Props to Carson for coming on Tuesday. Strangely Saturday was very empty - sad...

May already -- looking to record more next week...drums tougher than I thought for Bookstore -still not right. Maybe vocals from Shanna Underwood on some tracks - promising!

A minor setback on the CD - a computer crash is causing David's studio to be reconfigured. So not recording any new tracks there until late April. Am doing overdubs on Bookstore...maybe drums this weekend. Is there any rule about recording drums on Easter??

Hello Monday, Monday...another weekend gone. Saturday I "opened" for longtime New England favorite Anni Clark at the Saco Coffee House. Okay I actually just did the open mic before the show, but was well received - good turnout about 100 people.

Okay back from some travels and getting to work again on the CD. Next song is Bookstore - added a bass line but may redo it - lost a lot of presence because of the effect I was using on it.

Hey Doug, took your advice and listened to 'Whatever." Really glad too! Great lyrical vibe to t I especially love your line --"Fortune cookie, the old eight ball Mary’s visage on a Spanish wall" Refreshingly original with a bit of Paul Simon's lyrical style. Thanks man. Would love connect soon in Boston or Portland and Jam. Rock on.

So I'm starting to record a new EP tentatively called "Cruelbeautiful" a term that came to mind last year after my first Maine winter. The first finished mix is Whatever which you can listen to here.
I'm going to start using this board as a blog - a sort of diary of the process of making the CD. So if you're interested in that sort of stuff stay tuned.

Fun times at the Coffee Roasters ... thanks to all who stopped by.
For now wishing all a Happy Holiday!
Well, Well here we are in a New Year -- rather busy December with family events and fighting the flu and all. Haven't really played any shows since the Kerry benefit. Good news is that the CD is progressing apace - with one more percussion track to go, then mastering - should be looking at a release by valentines day - great present for your sweetie, I promise! ---DK
