Coming home late Coming home late

A bit of fun, some blokes tend to do things like this.

Country General

Let it rain Let it rain

Humorous song about the weather, the lack of rain in our dry continent..one for the farmers. Moderate coarse language.

Hell Yeah Hell Yeah

A bit of fun, a little fantasy most single blokes would like to happen..

Always and ever Always and ever

Sometimes, true love does last a lifetime.

Country General

Picture for song 'B&S Ball' by artist 'Doug Hendry'

B&S Ball B&S Ball

Very Australian, a Batchelor and Spinster Ball is where isolated country folk got together for courting purposes, it still happens nowadays, but it's more about drinking and wild times today...

Country General

This current CD, collection of songs, is 2 years worth of writing and recording, and I suppose a re-start to my musical interests. I don't quite know where to fit the genre stuff, so it goes under country/general, some are more country than others. It is an eclectic mix of how I felt at the time of writing, as well as a learning exercise in production, styles etc.
Band/artist history
I guess a history of involvement with music since a kid, learning instruments at school and as a hobby later. Some jingles, some songwriting on and old fostek 4 track, later on the world of PC's opened up a better world to create sounds. The one man band is not only possible, it can sound good as well. The downside is replicating in a live environment...
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Only sometimes, at a local pub, sometimes jamming with a few mates..
Your musical influences
Originally Bob Dylan, Don McLean, Jim Croce, later on Alan Jackson, George Jones, Troy Cassar-Daly, most of the top artists in Country.
What equipment do you use?
Mackie Onyx 1220 firewired into pentium 4, JTS and Shure microphones, Guitar through FX pedal into mixer, old yamaha keyboard, accoustic 6 string, electric 6 string, cheapish resonator, older electric as slide (raised nut etc), cheapish electric bass, harmonicas, borrowed banjo, real old mandolin....learning a little fiddle, trying to build a pedal steel.
Anything else?
What's the good of a painting never seen, or a song unheard?
