Double A of Kontinuous Kulture Records
(Kontinuous.Kulture.Records - The.BASS.REFLEX.Crew.Canada - Abstract.Ink.Clothing - 434.Apparel)
Double.A has been rockin' the decks now for 8 years and is going into his 5th year of producing. Double.A first decided that the wheels of steel were for him back in late 97' when he went to his first underground party and saw that theturntables could be used for more than to just play records, they could be used as instruments. By early 98' he was on the decks himself trainwrecking every mix, but never giving up. With the help of local DJ's & Turntablists Jason.Roy, Graham.Vair, Chad.Lee, Shortfuse aka:DJ.Jello back then, Take.5, Phonograff & Sin.Fonik...Double.A was able to learn quickly the basic skills needed to survive in this culture. Now 8 years later, Double.A is signed to "The.BASS-REFLEX.Crew" out of Miami and is currently putting togeather a Canadian chapter of strictly breakbeat DJ's/Producers for "BASS-REFLEX." He is also sponsored by "Abstract.Ink.Clothing" out of Edmonton, Alberta & "434 Clothing" out of his home city Vancouver. Today Double.A is producing breakbeats of all flava's from Hip Hop to Nu-Skool, B-Boy to just straight out U.K funkiness. He is also the founder of "Kontinuous.Kulture.Records" which he started back in 2000. "K.K.R" crew offers some of the best breakbeats, Hip Hop and Jungle/DnB producers the West Coast has to offer. Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Playing live is all I do and I play wherever I get booked. Most definetly a special moment for me was when I opened up for the DJ that produced the first record I ever bought.
