Collective is a jam band based in San Diego, California.
Persian classical, folk, and original music played with the collective spirit of jazz.
Our goals, in addition to friendship and fun, include learning the musical tradition, fostering creativity, and crossing cultural bridges.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Dornob is a merge of (Persian traditional) and (Persian folk jazz). Check all four, including Los Bandaritos, out on Soundclick.

Persian Classical Music masters M. R. Lotfi, H. Omoumi, and H. Alizadeh.
Jazz masters Miles Davis and John McLaughlin.
What equipment do you use?
In addition to Persian instruments we also use fretless bass guitar, modified drumset, and Persian-tuned keyboards to enhance our sound.
